The 9th edition of World Halal Day event was successfully hosted from 19th May to 21st May at Kazan, Tatarstan in association with, Gov. of Tatarstan, Tatarstan Investment Development Agency & United World Halal development. It was a mega event for Global Halal Industry, where a Trade Expo with B2B Networking with Local, Regional & International Buyers along with Conferences where world renowned Halal Industry Expertise Speakers have enlighten the wide audience with the fostering growth and exponential scope of Halal Industry.

The aim was to create a dynamic impact on individuals, society and the nation to sustain and stimulate global economic and social growth. The Assembly serves as a platform for knowledge sharing and constructive discussions, mutual collaborations for Research & Development initiatives, and was attended by Halal Certification bodies, Government Agencies, State Certification Agencies, Diplomatic missions, Islamic Financial Institutes, NGOs, Food Research and Development Centres, Trade Development Agencies, Travel & Tour Agencies and International & domestic business.

The mission of the Event was to maintain established contacts between Russia and the countries of the Islamic world, to implement measures to strengthen the positive image of Russia in the OIC countries and the OIC countries in Russia, to promote projects at the international level.

The main goal of “Russia – Islamic World: Kazan Summit & World Halal Day 2022” was to strengthen trade, economic, scientific, technical, social and cultural ties between the regions of the Russian Federation and the countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, as well as to promote the development of the institutions of the Islamic financial system in the Russian Federation.

RUSSIA HALAL EXPO

The Summit events began with the opening of the halal industry exhibition “Russia Halal Expo”. The general partner of the summit was PJSC AK Bars Bank. At the opening, Kazan received the key of the city hosting World Halal Day, the largest forum that has been held annually since 2014 in different parts of the globe. The exhibition also served as a high impact business platform for lucrative business opportunities and the presentation of products and services to a global audience.

 The Halal Expo was a three-day International Halal Trade &Tourism exhibition for the global Halal industry to meet the key players of the OIC, CIS, GCC, EU and Asia specific Halal market, thereby providing a comprehensive business platform to connect the trade and industry with the trillion dollar global Halal market. The exhibition brought together 147 exhibitors from 7 countries of the world: Russia, Turkey, Iran Malaysia, Indonesia, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and 18 regions of Russia. The exhibition area was 10,000 square meters.

The largest were the zones of Tatarstan (815 square meters) and Turkey (426 square meters ). The following areas were presented at the exhibition: food, wholesale and retail trade, non-food products, industry, engineering, construction, fashion and beauty industry, finance and investment, tourism and hospitality industry, education, IT, healthcare.
